We woke up to the sun shinning and just a gorgeous day. I decided I didn't get to go hiking yesterday, so today would be perfect. We packed everyone up and left the house around 9 this morning. We drove up the Metolius River, and spent the morning and early afternoon hiking around and enjoying the sunshine. We went up to Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery, I think Ryder could have spent the entire afternoon there. It was a lot of fun.

mommy's bed is better.
Yesterday was "deep clean" day for my house and one of those deep cleans was washing all sheets and blankets for the beds. I finally got my bed all put together, run out to get some things done and come back to a little mister crawled in to my bed all snuggled up and he even arranged the pillows (including his from his room) to exactly where he wanted them. lol... I said aren't you supposed to be in your bed, he says back to me "no mom I like your bed better, I can watch cartoons". I love him to pieces!!!
Wants so badly to be the big girl.
This morning started out just fine. Averee sitting in her high chair eating her breakfast and brother sitting next to her eating his. Both seemed to be done so I got her out cleaned her up and all was fine. I'm sitting at the computer and I look over and Averee is at Ryder's chair trying her hardest to climb up (she has just learned to climb up on everything) all of a sudden she is screaming at the top of her lungs and looks at me like the world is coming to an end! I finally sat her up there and as you can tell she was so so happy. She sat there finishing brothers breakfast and drinking his milk. After every drink she would look at me and go AHHHHH, with a huge smile on her face. lol...

Spring finally???
Is spring finally here???
I don't know but we have fully taken advantage of this beautiful weather we have been having! Funny how a week ago we had snow and now 80 degree weather! (but looking at the forecast we may be in for some more snow??) SO for now we take it day by day and play to the fullest with the sun shining down on us!
We have been pretty busy this past week we had Kaitlyn's birthday party last Saturday and then Sunday was workin on the cars and digging "spring/summer" stuff out of the garage, we turned on the sprinklers to find a hand full of them needing to be replaced, you know all that fun after winter stuff. Monday I got to leave and go get my hair done. Yay!! It was a much needed mommy time away. I got a lovely spring cut! It's the shortest I have been since elementary school!! Tuesday came and it was time to buckle down and focus on getting the yard work done. This year we are redoing all our flower beds and putting in a raised garden. Justin had mowed and got it all ready for me so now I had to venture out and just get it done! (easier said then done), Justin had Monday and Tuesday off this week due to him working out of town the rest of the week, so he snuck out the door pretty early with his friend Mike, little did I know he was off to go buy a NEW HUNTING BOW!! but anyways I started on the back yard and let me tell you it's a lot harder with a one year old that refuses to walk "trying" to help me with it all!! And she hates the feel of the grass so it was "so fun" while she was awake. Finally put her down for a nap and she manage to take a whoppin hour nap for me, but I did get like half the yard done, well pulled up. I am pulling up all the under lay weed avoider stuff. Between kids and dogs it's just peaking up here and there and looks horrible. Around 2 I had the yard bin stacked full and despite putting on SPF 50 multiple times my back was fried so I called it a day. I have some work in progress pictures (just a couple) I can't wait for it to be all done and the show it off! Hope you all have been enjoying the sun shine!!

Easter
Easter 2009..
For our little family it was very laid back. It was so nice! Saturday we had a fun filled day with my sister and her kids. We went to Kaitlyn's soccer game, played outside, did a little last minute Easter shopping and then came back to my house and ordered pizza and colored eggs. (these pictures will be posted in the next couple of days)
Sunday. I don't know what it is but even at 1 and 3 my kiddos woke up bright and early (5:30) and were so excited that the Easter bunny had come the night before!! Averee didn't really know what to think of it all, but after watching her big brother for a few seconds she seemed to catch on rather quickly. haha. I made a big breakfast, we did a little egg hunting and then went about our day. Ran to Home Depot to get some seeds for Ryder and I to start our little garden. We decided to start them inside this year so he can watch them grow! Not to mention we are still getting snow so I can't plant them out side! Then we just played all afternoon. Justin's friend came over for dinner. It was nummy I made a ham, potatoes, deviled eggs, rolls, and veggies. Totally hit the spot! And that pretty much sums up our Easter. Like I said very laid back and simple.

back to the doctor
Just got back from the doctor. And I'm a happy Mama right now! Not cause they figured it out "completely" but I got answers!!! And that is what I needed to hear today. I was starting to lose my mind on this.
Miss Averee got a complete physical again. Listen to her heart, checked all pulses all that fun stuff. We have now ruled out anything to do with her heart. Yay!!! but she is thinking it might come down to her being Anemic or have a Thyroid problem? So the plan now is to watch her this week and see if by chance she is happy go lucky Averee again and is getting all her energy back. ( She just might have a low temp and thats just her, we don't know for sure but that is what it's kinda looking like. ) If she is still acting like a Zombie then we go in first thing Monday morning and get her blood work done. Now I know this isn't wonderful news but it's the "having a plan" that puts my mind at ease and the fact that they don't think it has to do with her heart! I feel like I can actually breath, and know I'm not going to wake up in the morning with a blue little girl in her crib! Does that make sence? Last night was the first night since this has all been going on that she has actually slept through the night so I'm hoping this is a good sign??
I'll keep you posted...

fishin time!
ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!
As most of you know it's been a really, really long week.
And yesterday was even longer!
I gave Averee a Danables yogurt drink thing (Ryder loves them for a snack), anyways she downed it, didn't think much about it but I know I did keep telling her to slow down and would take it away for a sec and then she would drink as much as she could until I would stop her again. Now she hasn't been feeling that great, but it's not the flu, so we can deal, right?? Well she manage to have a little cough while eating a cracker and it apparently triggered her reflexes and she threw up all over herself I picked her up to comfort her, and again all over me this time! And then again.. all over the carpet!! Now the smell was starting to get to me, so I ran in to the bathroom stripped her and I down and put her in the bath real fast. I don't know what was making me want to vomit myself more? The smell that had swarmed around me or the fact that by the time I made it out of the bathroom (not even 2 minutes later) my dog JJ had licked up ALL the throw up!!! YUCK!! I'm still grossed out by the thought of it!!! After her bath she was fine and dandy and on with the day, it was just a little trigger of the reflexs.
So that was afternoon.
Now we move on to dinner. Ryder had been pretty fussy through out the day, he is getting this lovely cold, and hadn't had much sleep from the night before. He has had a tickle in his throat the past couple days. We are all sitting at the dinner table and Ryder decided he was done after eating maybe 2 bites off his plate? Justin informed him to get back up to the table and take 5 more bites. Ryder burst in to tears, came and sat back at the table, but couldn't stop crying, soon along with the crying came coughing and gagging. Then all of a sudden he looked at me, coughing, crying and gagging and threw up all over me!!! We ran threw the kitchen to try and make it to the bathroom cause as you can imagine he is freaking out and crying even harder now. He throws up all over me again...
Are you freakin serious!!! I get thrown up on a total of 3 times in one day and my kids don't even have the flu!!
After all the drama was over, I snuggled Ryder on the couch and he fell asleep not even 15 minutes after this all happened. Averee was asleep and in bed by 7:30 and at that time it was time for MAMA to have a drink!! lol.
If only the night would have stayed calm, it would have been wonderful.
To bad Averee had a really bad night (temp dropped again) Justin and I were up with her over half the night.
Sad..

a scary little time.
Oh where do I begin?? My little Miss Averee is turning out to be the child that scares the crap out of me every couple of months. The last time it was her lovely run in with the coffee table. And this time...
She has been sick for a little over a week now, it was nothing to concerning just a cold, that started out with a croupy cough. Then two days ago she woke up ice cold and her lips, hands, feet were blue not just like a little change like she had been out in snow in shorts and a tank top all night. I called the doctor right away they told me try and warm her up and see what happens. I gave her a hot bath, warm milk, layered her clothing and including a beanie. When I called the doctor it her temp. was at 96.5, after her bath and all that stuff I got it up to 98.4, not even 45 minutes later it was back down to 96.4 and she was blue again. So the nurse had to walk me through taking a rectal temp. (oh joy, for me and her) it came back 98.1 this was good. They told me to keep checking her through out the evening and if it gets below 96.5 take her to the ER. This scared the crap out of me!! Justin had plans this evening, so around 6 I took her temp before he left and it was at 96.4, I decided to call the on-call doctor one more time before I freak out and rushed her to the hospital. I got a completely different nurse/doctor, this set tells me that I'm totally over reacting and when the doctor saw the note to call and about the ER he rolled his eyes. In the same breath she tells me that if I lived in Bend they would have me come down to the clinic right then to get her checked out??? But since we live in Redmond, just keep her as warm as possible tonight and take her in first thing in the morning. I got off the phone and burst in to tears!!!
This is my baby girl we are talking about and you guys are giving me completely different advise and making me feel like a complete idiot!! I was so frustrated and pissed over it all!!
Anyways I kept her all snuggled up all night and first thing in the morning I called and the earliest they could get her in was 11:30. This was just to get her checked out from head to toe and listen to her heart. Now... My night was hell and my morning didn't turn out that great either. I was up at 6:30 cause Madison ( the little girl I watch ) was supposed to be here at 7. Well 7:30 comes, still no Madison, 8 comes, still no Madison, finally at around 8:15 I text him to see if I actually have her and he gets back to me around 8:30 and says oh sorry I over slept. So she finally comes around 9:30. So not a big deal it was just one more thing that morning. you know?
I pack the kids all up and we head off to the doctors, now the last time I took Averee in she screamed and cried the entire appointment and now I'm adding one more kid to the mix. Not to sure how this is going to work out. They checked Averee out and she ended up having a massive sinus infection and that was it. The doctor said she thinks, even though it doesn't happen to, to many kids sometimes they can go in the opposite direction (temp.) when they have an infection. So we get our meds and head off to Walmart to drop it off. We got home and not even an hour after her appointment, she is all blue and freezing again. I was so wrapped up in the appointment I didn't even ask if I should be concerned if this happens again!!! ( I really don't know where my head was ) So I called my doctor back and she told me to warm her back up, her heart sounded fine when she was checked out, and just to watch it for the next few days. If by chance it doesn't go away after she is better and the infection is gone she is going to have to come in for some "intense testing" on her heart.
I have been an emotional mess the last few days, and I'm hoping, crossing my fingers that it's just the infection! So far I'm thinking it is the infection. Yesterday we kept her temp. stable all day almost for 24 hours. Today, well this morning it did drop down to 69.9 but I put some extra clothes on her and it went and stayed up to 98.8, this is the highest it's been all week!! It's promising.
I'll keep you all posted if anything changes.
