I am.....

Yes Yes I am
ADDICTED TO TEXTING!!!!

This week has been hell for me! Last weekend I left my phone charger at my moms, so my phone has been dead for most of the week.. My car charger was in my sister's car, so I finally went and got it, only for it to break the very next day.. Ugh...
I have known I text a lot, BUT I guess I never realized how much I do use it.. haha so so sad. Justin always makes fun of me.
But I have come to the conclusion I am an addict.. I may not use all the texting lingo but I get it done. :)

I did break down and get a new car charger yesterday, cause I thought I was going to die!

PS. Oh ya and I just want to put this out there. I DO NOT TEXT AND DRIVE!!! I think NO one should do this!

five friday favs...

1) Fall is coming! I can feel it in the air... I'm so excited, fall is my favorite time of the year! I'm on the count down until I can decorate!

2) My creative juices are flowing! I am officially heading back in to the Salon to do nails again! I will still be working on my Cupcake biz, but this is still one of my favorite things to do, so here I go again!

3) On this crisp morning (well cold really, not crisp quit yet) I sitting here with my sweatshirt on and drinking my hot coffee, and it's just a perfect way to start the day/weekend!

4) Got Katy Perry's new CD this week and LOVE LOVE it! It's not really kid friendly, so when the kids are in the car we pretty much repeat California Girls over and over and over again! But I finally did get to listen to the whole CD and I love it!

4) With these cooler days coming, I get to use my crock pot!!! I love my crock pot and cook in it all the time during the cooler seasons! This totally excites me! I know totally lame right? ;)

5) The count down is on!!! 8 days until my little sister gets married! That means 5 days until we leave for our beach vacation! woohoo!!!

A BIG Thank You!

Today I had to take the kids in to the doctor to get caught up on their shots and wellness checkups. I'm not super behind just from this most recent birthdays. But for us this has been a challenging process... We are one of the many families that are uninsured (well me and the kids) Justin's work covers him but got way to expensive for us to continue for the whole family, and due to my personal background and health problems I have been denied for all I have applied for, and at the beginning of the year we made to much for OHP. I'm not concerned about myself, but have been freaking out about the kids. We can't afford a winter like last year, when I was taking Miss Averee in to the doctor every 2-3 weeks! A couple weeks ago I went on the search for a low cost or free clinic around here. I haven't heard of ANY in the 4 years we have lived here, so I thought I was going to strike out. But after a couple phone calls, and transfers I was told of a clinic in Redmond and Bend that is just for kids 0-18 years of age and will take care of them! I took Averee in a few weeks ago when we thought she might have strep and they were super nice, and gave me all the info on the new Healthy Kids program so I can get the kids all signed up for it, so at that time I made the appointments to go back in for shots and wellness checkups. Today was the day... And for being a free clinic I just have to say they were SO SO wonderful and did the most in-depth checkup my kids have every had! They spent about an hour with me just doing different things with the kids. I was so impressed. For a change it was all about my kids and how they are really doing and making sure I got a clear answer for any question I had. So much better then the 15 mins I would get with the doctor, before getting shuffled out the door to clean up the room for the next person at the regular doctors office. This was all about the well being of my kids and not about money!!! Just wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU
to those wonderful people at the clinic.

(oh and mama got to get a shot also, so Ryder thought that was awesome!) haha

I tried to find the video of our wedding song but they just don't have it any where... Oh well maybe he will sing the song tomorrow night!!!

The count down is on!!!

This is the beginning of a very busy week for us. Well I guess it started this past weekend, when Justin left for opening Bear season, and my mom came to visit us, oh and we had to say good bye to my little niece Hailey as she headed back to Cali for a few weeks to see her mommy, but she will be back for my little sister's wedding so all is good. Anyways... I sit here now waiting for the first preseason football game, Justin to get home, and making my list of everything that needs to get done this week.. I'm officially on the count down for my "sister/photo session" trip to Colorado!! We fly out Friday morning and let me tell you, MAMA IS READY FOR A BREAK! haha.... But until then I have a list a mile long to get done. A few important things on my list... 1) taking Averee to her first appointment at the Center of Integrated Medicine. This is to test and see what they can tell me about her dairy and gluten allergies? 2) getting my hair done! I'm due for a root touch up, but the red is slowly fading in to almost a copper/blond color, so this is what I think I'm going to go with! I'm very excited for the change! 3) Miss Lucy has to go in for her last series of shots. 4) Meet with the owner of the salon, so when I get back I can go to work! 5) prepare myself for running a 5K on Saturday!
and those are just a few things on my list! It's going to be a busy week for us and so far all my kids want is to go see Aunt Karri and the kids! It's been a week since the last time we saw them and that is killing them! haha too long! They get spoiled with living so close, I think. ;) Well hopefully next week I will have lots of pictures and fun stories about my trip to Colorado! Hope you all have great week!

Fair Time

This last weekend was fair here in good ol Deschutes County. We decided to head there on Sunday, had to pick up my niece ( she got to spend the weekend there with one her besties and do the whole 4H thing ) anyways, it was the last day of fair so it only cost 5 bucks to get in for everyone. Remember we had my family, my brother and his daughter, plus my 2 nephews. I remember going to the fair when I was little and it was the ending of summer, you saw all your friends that you hadn't seen all summer and we spent day and night there just hanging out. It was a blast! NOW... I'm getting old... it's busy, hot and way to expensive!! lol I enjoyed watching the kids have fun but come on! really can you drain me of any more money while I'm there!? It cost 4.75 for ONE kid to ride ONE ride and you know one ride is not going to be enough!! Then you add a game or two, plus drinks. It's insane! Over all we did have fun but it was way to hot and we ended up leaving after a few hours and my pockets drained...

Ryder and Hailey riding the helicopters.

My favorite little rabbit and sheep!

And Averee's favorite! the little piggies. Although she walked through the barn saying "stinky" haha

have no words....

Averee has now gone almost 3 months without an ear infection! She has been the only one over the summer to not get the fun summer cold and she has just been a healthy little kid running around. This last Friday she woke up so fussy and cranky and when my sister came over and she screamed all the way to her house, she was in shock! looked at me and said "does she have an ear infection cause I've never seen her like this?" I kinda thought about it for a minute and was puzzled, how or why would she have an ear infection, she hasn't been sick at all, and for that matter no ones been sick at our house... When we got home I gave her some tylenol, and busted out my handy-dandy ear infection detector ( it really has been a god sent) well sure enough she was at a level 2 in one ear and 3 in the other! level 3 means get her to the doctor now! After posting this tid-bit on my FB status, I had a couple friends who have recently been diagnosed with Celiac disease comment on it and ask if I have looked in to her having an allergy to gluten or dairy? With all the research I have done on Celiac (my mom was diagnosed with it last year) you would have thought I would have come across this information? But I didn't so on to the computer I went to do a little research... I found some VERY interesting stuff!!! If you would like more info about it hit up these links.

So back to my story...
After reading all about this, I choose to make the decision to take Averee off all dairy immediately! I called a Naturalpathic doctor and made an appointment for her and I to go in and talk to her to see what steps we need to take, and to get a better understanding of what's going on. When Justin got home that night I really didn't know how he was going to feel about this new "info" I had come across, luckily we have slowly been taking little gluten out of our diets so he knows a little about all this stuff. :) I explained it all and as we sat there talking about it, it was like a light went off and all of a sudden it made perfect sense! The doctors and us have always been baffled on why she never got ear infections as an infant, and they only started after she was a year old... HMMMM (this is what we were all thinking) then after reading this, some kids can't break down the sugars in dairy that's why it builds up in the liquid. My daughter would only drink milk all day if we let her! During the winter she lover coco, and every night she always has 2-3 cups of milk before bed. And cheese don't even get me started on the cheese that child consumes! anyways as we went in to summer I limited her milk and switched both kids to only 100% juice or water, but in the last few weeks Averee has been getting back on her milk kick. HMMMMM you seeing the pattern here?
I'm happy to report that today (2 days) after taking her off all dairy, she is back down to a level one in both ears!! I think we may have come on to something here?! Thank you so much Kati and Krystle!!! you may have just saved us a horrible winter of going in to the doctor every few weeks!

This is all I have to go off of right now, but just wanted to give a little insight at what we are looking in to and why. Hope you find this just as interesting as we are!
