MUST HAVE!!!

I finally got it!! Clay Walker's new cd! I have been listening to it all morning.. I so love love him... Doesn't matter how long he is out of the music industry he comes back with the same music you heard years ago and it just seems to get even better! If you like country music it is a must have cd!! Maybe we should mention that he also seems to be getting hotter with age! ;)

five friday favs...

1) Averee and Hailey were actually getting along!! This was a huge moment and thank goodness Austin caught with the camera! lol They aren't the best of friends usually...

2) Making a big decision... It took a lot of thinking but I do believe I'm ready to head back in to the salon on a very part time level!

3) A good few days of awesome summer storms! Lightening, thunder, and rain mixed with the smell of the juniper... awww delightful!

4) Getting my runs in everyday... I know this shouldn't probably be one of my tops favs, BUT I go at night after dinner and come home to kids in bed. So I get to go and turn my music up and not have to think about anything else and just breath.... come home and relax.... to me that's a nice way to end the day. :)

5) a good trip to the most amazing candy store!!

summer summer time....

at the Steve Miller band concert. Everyone out on the river. Gosh I sure do love living here!

male or female?

I couldn't resist!! I was stumped... Is this a man or a female?

This is what "she" or "he" was wearing??

a bumpy road to get there...

it literally was a bumpy ride... With a 3 hour drive ahead of us in the 90 degree weather and a car packed to the max with all our camping stuff, 2 dogs, and 2 kids one in which choose to cry and throw a fit for the first 2 hours of the car ride, and then to get to our final road and if anyone has e22v22er been up to Elk Lake above Detroit you know it's a massive bumpy road that is not a fun ride! Yup that's how our wonderful birthday weekend for the hubby started...

Once we finally got there, we meet up with our good friends Levi and Amy and the weekend turned out to be a wonderful relaxing weekend surrounded by a gorgeous back drop! Justin and I have been going up to Elk Lake since we first meet each other, and I haven't been back up since having kids. Justin has still continued to go up every year at least once, but I'm willing to admit I love camping but not a huge fan with small kids! haha My little diva daughter turned out to not be the outdoorsy type at all and my little Ry guy was a water guppy! After the first day Averee finally started settling in to her "new" surroundings but still spent most of the time in the back of the car. :) She did however very much enjoy her "fishy" pole and that turned out to be what we did most of the time. I did sneak off each day for a little lounging in the sun ALONE out on a huge air mattress in the middle of the lake, it was to die for!!! I could have done that all day! oh the joys when you don't have kids... I do kinda remember those days, but they are oh so veg.... oh sorry getting back to the weekend! Ryder got to find out how fun it actually is to "swim" with his life jacket on and we could not keep him out of the water the entire weekend. Saturday he and Lucy played so hard in the water they both crashed around 7 that night! While Averee stayed on the sidelines with me and entertained us that night with her sweet dance moves, and kept everyone laughing.

it was a great weekend and I look forward to having more camping trips next summer. For this year we could only fit one in to our crazy schedules but it's enough I think. :)

here are a few of the pictures, but there are lots more if you want to check them out!

kickin myself...

My poor daughter is having to learn that when mommy wants change, I have a way of getting what I want! ;) I decided it was time to "trim" up those loose stranglers at the end of her hair. Her hair drives me crazy! It's so thin and stringy.. So tonight I took the scissors to it, and it turned out a little shorter then I wanted... :( It's still adorable but I couldn't get her to sit still, so it just kept getting a little shorter and a little shorter. I did a cute little A-line and like I said it's adorable, but everyone told me not to cut it cause her pony was so cute! It was driving ME crazy! She had the sweet "little girl mullet" going and she was pulling the pony out when I put it up, she wants to wear it down for some reason and I just couldn't take it! I'm really hoping it grows before my little sisters wedding. HA... But guess we will see. It's now time to start taking her to see Caylen (which that's what I should have done today).

five friday favs...

1) having a week to just do what ever we want and recoup from the 5 days in C-town.

2) I missed the first episode last week but have got all caught up on one of my favorite summer time shows! BIG BROTHER is back!

3) spending the day out in the sun ALL day with the kiddos playing in the water on a hot day, then relaxing as they have their "down" time and relaxing I mean get to lay in the sun reading my book... awwww the day couldn't get any better then that!

4) I went and got my hair done this week! Nothing like new fresh hair to make a girl feel pretty!

5) Tonight we will be spending our evening down at old mill on the water front at one of my favorite little restaurants listening to Steve Miller Band. :)

I <3 summer

A walk for a good cause!

I put together a girls walk for a very special cause and it turned in to a magnificent weekend! My mom and aunt came over from the valley and my sister, niece, mom, aunt, and myself (oh and the twins) set out Sunday morning for a 5K walk/run to benefit breast cancer! It really meant a lot to me to have my family with me as we did this walk. The turn out was HUGE! and we had so much fun! It has now turned in to some thing we will do every year! It meant a lot to the twins to walk with us, AND their teacher Mrs. Brant who had to step away from teaching this year to under go kemo and is fighting and WILL be the next survivor of breast cancer!!

Loved this lady and her flamingo hat!!

just a glimpse at the crowd

Ryder got to sign the firetruck!

What's been going on....

This summer is flying by! I feel like I don't even have time to sit down and write on here weekly!!

What's been taking up our time.

First we have been so lucky to have work again for Justin. He is working about 10 hours a day and I'm so so happy! I am home with the kiddos, trying to master my cupcake recipes so that I can get closer and closer to stepping out in to the real world and get them selling in actual cafes! The kids are doing wonderful and enjoying summer to the very most. We have been spending the days playing in the water either in the back yard, lake or the water fountain down town. The kids and I just got back from spending 5 days with my mom in Corvallis. It was a crazy busy time but loved every minute of it. Karri and I had some photo shoots to do and the kids got to stay with grandma and papa. We spent one day at the beach. The weather said it was supposed to be 70 and sunny, being from the valley/coast I should have known that means fog and windy, but I let it slip my mind and I headed down there with my bathing suit and and summer dress... It was a little chilly when we got down there but it burned off and actually turned out to be a beautiful day. It was Averee and Lucy's first time to the beach and both enjoyed themselves to the max! Lucy ran, dug holes, and played in the water the whole time and Averee ran around playing in the sand and running from the waves. I love the beach so much!! I miss living closer to it! I have been trying to convince my hubby to move to Northern California but that's a NO GO... Guess I will just have to keep taking vacations there. ;) Our next trip is a 4 day trip and I can't wait!!

The next month and half are going to be a blur until school starts... We have something going on every weekend! Just a few things are camping, Willamette Festival, TRIP TO COLORADO!! (can't wait to visit with my bestest friends Krystle! My sister and I are actual going there to do a photo shoot for her entire family) and my little sister's wedding! Hopefully I can take a little time and keep up with my blog and keep you all posted on our crazy busy life! Hope you all are having a WONDERFUL summer!

Fourth of July

wow it's been a while! Sorry I will really try harder to keep it up to date. I will promise to at least update once a week!!

This was The Fourth Of July for us. Was a beautiful day followed by a wonderful evening. We spent the afternoon at my sister's messing around letting the kids play in the pond, challenging anyone who would take it to a game of volleyball and the boys had one to many while playing the wii! We ended up having about 20 people show up and had enough fireworks to put on quit a little show before the big one started. It was a great night and on the way home we had two kiddo's that crashed. Well actually A fell asleep in my arms during the fireworks. :) I love having my family so close...

Is it really the end?!

Tonight marks the last and final episode of The Hills..
This show has been a staple in my weekly TV watching for many years now, I'm so sad to see it go. I hate that I am admitting to that but it's true. I have no idea what show is going to take it's place on what was Monday nights and now Tuesday's. As I sit in my room watching it texting back an forth with my bestee Molly, as if we were a part of the actually show. haha oh the wonderful memories The Hills have brought to my little life over the years. So long to another one of my favorite shows!
