let the craziness begin!

And the week begins... I feel like starting this week we have a very busy few weeks ahead of us. Tomorrow Ryder finally gets to go back to school, last week he had Thanksgiving break and the week before that he was out with a 24 hour stomach bug and pink eye. He and I are so excited to have him go back! haha.. Averee on the other hand, well she just hangs out and goes with what ever the day brings. Oh how I wish my days could be like that!

Last week was Thanksgiving and we had an over all great Turkey day. It was my nephews birthday also that day so we had a big gathering at my sisters for a Thanksgiving/Birthday party. She had 19 people in her house and actually it really didn't seem to crowded. By about 6 that evening my kids were crying over every thing and it was time to go! We had a very interesting drive home with screaming kids ( I really don't know what their problem was) they finally fell asleep right before we got home and were out for the night. Friday morning came I was up at 4:30 and headed off to go shopping! Yay!! I got everything I wanted to look for that day. Finally got Ryder's Santa gift. He is going to be so excited we got him a Leapster 2 and its a special Star wars addition (he loves star wars clone wars) that was my steal of the day. I got the combo back for $49! Just the system alone is $60 and the game is another $25 if you buy them separate. I picked up some other things for him like transformers, cars, and new Ben 10 pj's. Averee is so fun to shop for this year. She got a big kitchen for her bedroom, a new doll, she is really in to barbies so I'm sure I will pick up at least one for her for Christmas I'm thinking the new Princess and the Frog one cause I think she is pretty! haha Yes I just said that about a barbie. Personally I hate barbies, BUT the little girl I watch is super in to them and so in turn all Averee wants or talks about is Babbies. My poor husband never gets it, every year he gives me so much crap about going shopping on black Friday but then when I come home and show him everything I got and how much money I saved he is thrilled! And it helps that I usually find some great deals for him. ;)

Saturday we decorated the house and went to the Christmas parade. I think Ryder got more candy from that parade then on Halloween! Sunday was full of decorating outside, and it looks beautiful! Now all these weeks to come will be crazy and hectic but it is one of my favorite times of the year and wouldn't change a thing!

A week to prepare for...

How is that Turkey day is in 3 days! Where in the world has the month, or should I say year gone?! I feel like Halloween was just last week. This year Thanksgiving was supposed to be at my house. I was so excited! I love do big dinner events at my house, for the main reason I love to cook. But this year has ended up having a little change in plans. After my sister and I figured all the big turkey day plans out, we looked at the calender and saw that my twin nephews birthday actually is on Thanksgiving this year. This happens like once every 6 or 8 years? We asked them what they wanted to do and they said they want to have Thanksgiving at their house and have both sides of the family come, and then after dinner go see a movie. This is fine with me cause we have to look at that Thanksgiving landed on their birthday not the other way around. It maybe turkey day but it's still their birthday and try telling an 8 year old that we are going to not celebrate because it's Thanksgiving. I have lots to do this week. Went and got my shopping done yesterday and then today is deep clean day, cause family comes in to town on Wednesday and then that night will be full of cooking or at least what ever I can make in advance? Then a full day of fun with family on Thanksgiving and then the big morning comes and we go SHOPPING! Yay!! I'm excited. I'm so ready for Christmas. And then the rest of the weekend will be decorating for one of my favorite times of year! Hope you all have safe and wonderful holiday! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

No point, just need to chat..

Here I sit alone in a quiet house. Justin just left to go hunting for the weekend and both kids are in bed. I guess I should be happy about the quiet and being able to watch what ever my little heart desires, but.. I have to say I'm not really that thrilled about it. I have had a rough night with the kids hence the reason they were in bed by 7:30 tonight. I was not ready for my husband to leave for the entire weekend. I was out late last night with the New Moon midnight showing and he didn't even have enough time to ask me how it all was before he was running out the door for the weekend. :( Both kids have been so cranky today, and I have been a little cranky tonight so it's not all them. I think that is just what happens when you are only running on a couple hours of sleep? At the beginning of the week Averee got pink eye, and a cold, the cold started out with a cough and a fever, the doctor said it was the yuck going around right now and the fever is actually lasting for 2-3 days. We got lucky and Averee kicked it that first night and she has been great everyday since. Then came Thursday, Ryder woke up with pink eye (I was just waiting for it, due to how contagious it is) and today he started hacking away, by tonight he is running a fever and still has pink eye, all congested, AND the poor kid has a cold soar under his bottom lip. Ryder DOES NOT take medicine. He hates it and will work himself up so much he throws up, so unless we HAVE to give it to him we don't even try. Yesterday was miserable having to put eye drops in his little eyes, but today got better and then tonight came, he was super tired, sick and we had our rounds trying to get him to let me put it in. Finally I got it but I have learned we are not doing medicine at night. He gets it 4 times a day for the next 2 days and that will all be done before he has a chance to get tired!
I just had to vent a little and get it out some where!! I'm really just wanting to go curl up in bed and read my book and I think that is where I'm heading. And I'm crossing my fingers everyone gets a good nights sleep and we wake up a little healthier tomorrow.

How old am I?

Yes oh Yes people I'm heading out to the Midnight showing of New Moon tonight! What am I getting myself in to? Talked to my sister earlier and there were people already camped out side the theater this morning! We got our tickets long ago when they went on sale, but it's still going to be way insane down there! We are watching the first Twilight around 9 and then staying in the same theater for New Moon. Should end up being a blast but tomorrow is going to kill me! I'm sure I will have all kinds of stories to tell come tomorrow morning! :) Happy vampire hunting to all!

Will it ever end?

Well here goes yet another week of more sickness in our house. I guess we just have a BIG'OL red X outside our house that says "please oh please germs come in and get us all sick with as much as you can at one time".. Last week started our getting over the lingering cough that has stayed with us after this last cold/flu session, Wednesday we had a pretty good day went out and about got the pictures done of the kids, played at Papa's Pizza, came home still doin good. Thursday comes along and all day still doin good, AND THEN... we went to bed and around 1 Averee woke up hurling all over her bed! This in turn made my stomach start turning so I threw up (I used to have a stomach for all this, I don't know what happened) she proceeded to throw up on and off for the next 4 hours, finally went to sleep and woke up like nothing even went on the night before, and had a wonderful Friday catching up on sleep and playing with her brother. Now back to Thursday night, I woke up between Averee's throw up incidents, and did make it to the toilet to find myself hurling like the clip from Exorcist.... The difference between A and I? I was sick all the next day! If I even moved I threw up. It was horrible. How do you take care of two young kids while you feel so horrible!? My poor little Ry guy ended up showing me just how big he really is. He did such a good job on getting food for him and his sister and my sweet sweet little man would come rub my back while I was head deep in the toilet bowl. Come Friday night when Justin got home I was feeling a little better, ate some crackers and headed off to bed around 7. The next day we all woke up feeling wonderful. I even went out and had dinner with my sis while the kids stayed home with daddy. Love me some girl time. Shopping and yummy food! This all leads us up to yesterday. Averee woke up on Sunday with a little little cold nothing big. That is mild compared to what we have been having so I can deal with that, right? Monday I put her down for her nap and she slept for almost 4 hours. I was thrilled thinking she is just going to sleep this cold away and hopefully with in a couple days it will be gone. SHE WOKE UP WITH GREEN GOOP GUSHING FROM HER EYE! Yay.... She had pink eye..... At this point I'm on the phone with my mom not knowing if I should cry or just laugh? I honestly don't know what in the world is going on in my house! Usually we are a fairly healthy house. Other then Averee and her colds. But they tell me that's normal for baby number 2, they actually showed me stats that siblings number two averages, yes averages being sick once a month for the first 2-3 years of life, BUT on the up side they tell me she will be the healthy one once she gets in school? OK back to my story cause joy to the world it's not over yet. I called the Dr. and got her an appointment for last night. So about a half hour before we are about to leave Ryder is standing in the middle of the living room and throws up everywhere! WOW.... Now I am crying... I just can't win right now. I don't know what else to give them or to do for everyone in our house to get healthy? I'm just at a loss.. I took Averee to the Dr, while Justin stayed home with Ry, we got to the doctor and she looked in her mouth and told me she wanted to test for strep. Really? One more freakin thing???? Thankfully it came back negative! We got our prescription and were outta there. Stopped to get it filled and headed home. Averee was out the minute she layed her head down on her pillow, and Ryder was still throwing up. Around 10 he seemed to stop and fell asleep and woke up back to his cheerful wonderful self. Averee also woke up doing much better with no goop and just a few crusties. So now I say this again! Please Please let us rest and get back to 100 % before the next evil sickness hits!! Or at least let us get better and stay healthy for next week. We have family coming for Thanksgiving!!

Halloween Weekend

We had an amazing Halloween weekend. It started on Friday with my family from the Valley coming over. That night we had pizza and pumpkin carving party. This year we had some really great pumpkins come out of it all, along with pumpkin guts all over my dinning room!! This was a late night but we all headed to bed to prepare for the busy day on Saturday. Got up and got a little bit of a late start.... Garrett spent the night and we had to get a Tinkerbell, Bumblebee, and butterfly all ready for the Big day of Trick or Treating! Haily actually did wonderful and let me braid her hair and put some "pretty" makeup on her for her costume. This is shocking only cause she usually doesn't let anyone touch her hair! She looked so pretty!! Bumblebee was pretty easy to get ready and same with our little butterfly. We totally lucked out with the weather it was gorgeous out! In the 60's with sunny skies. After we all got ready here it was time to head over to Karri's to get the rest of the kids ready. We had a football player, roller derby girl, and YES he lives on! Micheal Jackson! So we got there and the "dads" figured out the Beaver game was actually on at like 1 but wasn't on TV until 3. Big drama!! They ended up staying and trying to figure out what they were going to do about all this. And we headed on in to town to start our Trick or Treating in Old Mill. The kids did awesome! Averee caught on quite fast and figured out she really likes the idea of just holding out her bucket and people put candy in it! haha... It was beautiful down there, they had a horse carriage ride and a big reptile exhibit for the kids. Ryder was in heaven he got to hold huge lizards, turtles and pet a huge snake, you can see the snake wrapped around my niece in the pictures below! After that we headed back to my house for naps and a yummy dinner I had cooking in the crock pot all day. By the time we got here both Justin and Craig were a little tipsy and they proceeded to go out and have a race.... It was Austin, Tyler, Craig, Derek, and Justin. This did not end that well. My lovely husband should not try and race when he has been drinking! He totally tripped over his own feet and slid down the road! It was the high light of the day. lol.. Could not stop laughing / talking about it all night! Poor guy guess it just shows he's getting older. haha After dinner we headed out around our neighbor hood. Karri and Derek got a little crazy with the stroller and people kept passing by asking who was having more fun the kids or adults. Gotta love my fam! After being out for about an hour Averee was done and ready for bed. I took her back to the house and Ryder decided he was also done so they stayed home with daddy and Uncle Craig and we headed back out with the older kids. By the time I got back Averee was asleep and Justin had got rid of most of all the kids candy! I'm totally not complaining I didn't want it in my house anyway. He dumped it in the bowl and handed it back out to the trick or treaters. haha It was another late night but so fun. There is nothing like having all the kids in the family get together and spend such a fun holiday together!
