gosh has it really been that long?

I feel like I haven't wrote anything for ages! I'm back now and I will try and keep up with this again. I don't know what my problem is lately. So here is a little up date on whats been going on in our little life.

About a month ago I started back to work at the Salon. Unfortunately I would love to say it was just cause I wanted some me time, but I can't. Justin's work has been SOOOO slow, on a good week he has only been working 2-3 days. UHHGGG... So I went back to work hoping and crossing all my fingers and toes that I would have work to go back too. Well someone was listening to my many prayers cause I have been busy! It's been wonderful! I am remembering how much I love my job. (how many people can say that) Any ways that is going great other then Averee not accepting this "new" only daddy time on the weekends. She is a totally mama's girl and is not liking me leaving at all.. It's been a little hard, but in the end I think it will be good for her to get used to me not always being around.
On top of this my sister and I have decided to start our own little business. We are so excited. It's kinda funny, cause I really have buried all my "cowgirl" deep deep down far away from my everyday life, but our little business is all about it. haha. Well not all about it but a majority. The more we talk and write down our ideas it's turning in to Tack and Accessories. Super fun!! I will post more about it when we get it all put together.

Averee has got Ringworm for the first time. Who knows where in the world she got this from but it's not bad just a new experience for me.

Ryder is Ryder. :) He is a playing machine. Him and his sister are outside starting about 15 minutes after they get up and don't come in until we make them. He is showing a lot of interest in learning how to swim, so I think that is going to be our next adventure. Averee has no fear of the water so we have to keep an extra close watch on her. I put one of their little slides going down in to the pool and she climbs it all by herself and flys down splashing in the water cracking up. It scares me... But luckily she has an wonderful big brother that watches her as close as I do.

Lets see what else has been going on. Oh I hit my first deer ever this past week. It was late and dark coming home from my sister's house. Wait let me explain a little more. My sister lives about 25 minutes from me and it's all back farm roads how we get there. I made it all the way through those dark country roads and get about a mile from my house (on a pretty busy road in town) and seriously I saw eyes and then boom! thunk thunk... I was so close to home I just kept going and looked at the car when I get home. Both kids slept through it all and actually for hitting a deer I don't feel like the damage was that bad. It busted my front Grille and that is it. Well it kinda pushed my hood and bumper to the left but my wonderful husband fixed all that. Now we are waiting for the new grille to get here and then YAY it will be all fixed. I don't' know what I would do without my husband always fixing things on my car for me!

I think that is about all that is going on with the Kingsbury family these sunny summer days.
I know there is more but it's getting late and it's been a busy day. So for now this is all you get. I will update more later. :)

Big Girl

Averee has been sick with a cold the last couple of days, and this morning she woke up a little before 5. This was not going to work with mommy, so I crawled in to her "big girl" bed with her and we snuggled and both fell right back to sleep. She is still sleeping in her crib but we have her bed all set up, and are just waiting for daddy to finish up one more thing on it before we make the big switch. I guess I started some thing this morning though? This afternoon I asked her if she was ready for nap time and she walked back to her room and wanted in her "big girl" bed and not her crib. I put her up there and she was so happy, and tucked herself right in and was ready for her nap.

As they grow

The older my two kiddos get, the more I sit back and look at them in aww and how much they actually look alike ( I don't know if it's as much as Erin's boys, but close) :) As I was going through my pictures I had just uploaded I noticed this one. I can't believe how much they look alike!! Same facial expression and everything!!
(they even have about the same amount of hair) lol...

Watermelon time

Ryder has been asking every time we go to the fruit stand if we can get a watermelon. I usually don't get them cause we don't eat them fast enough to get a huge one. So it's a special time thing. Well this last time we went I gave in and got one. Came home started to cut it up and I took a little piece out to Averee (she was out back, no surprise there) and this is what I came back to. He has like half the watermelon in his hands!

Apparently he really did want some watermelon and a little piece just wasn't going to be enough!

And he really didn't see what the problem was with this.

Thought this was great.

I have to share this cause after reading it, I just couldn't get it out of my head.
(thanks Sabrina)

Dealing with the past is like using the rear view mirror in your car. It's good to glance at it, but if you obsess too much about what is behind you then you are going to crash your car.

Problem?

This is how our storm started today. Hail...Massive Thunder... (my entire house was shaking) Turned out looking like it just snowed everywhere!
(some random building)
and this is when it ended looking like

Living over here in Bend I have learned one thing, well two things.
1) When it rains the towns are not built to handle it so it FLOODS everywhere
2) Central Oregonians may drive great in the snow but give them a little rain and it's a whole different story. Coming from the Valley and learning how to drive pretty much all the time in the rain, it's so frustrating cause they DO NOT know how to drive in the RAIN! And this is what happens to those IDIOTS!
Are you kidding me what the hell was this person thinking!
(OH and as we were sitting there gawking over this the people next to us said that it looks good now they saw it when it first happened and you could only see about 3 inches of the top of the car!)

One of the many reasons we love Bend

I have to say living in Bend has opened up a hole lot of "adventures" for us to explore almost every weekend. I love this place! I know that sounds funny, but I think there is something going on just about every weekend that you can go do as a family. Not that we always make it out the 4 of us, most of the time we get to explore with my sister and her kids cause as my husband would put it "we go to a lot of Hippie fairs and different kinds of things." Well I don't care what he says cause I LOVE IT ALL! (Me personally I love the hippie fairs you find great treasures.) Anyways.... Today we decided to wake up at the butt crack of dawn and go watch Balloons Over Bend. Neither one of us had ever been to it before and thought what a fun experience for the kids. I loaded up my sleeping children around 5:45am and headed off to meet my sister at Starbucks for a little pick me up before heading down to Old Mill. Only one of Karri's kids actually ended up waking up and coming with her so Logan, Ryder, and Averee had a blast getting pretty spoiled being the only 3.

The Balloons were supposed to launch around 6:30, but the wind decided
to pick up and unfortunately none of them were able to take off this morning. We did get to see one get all ready and watch it blown up, Logan and Ryder stood there in AWWW over this huge balloon in front of them! Averee was just being Averee and hanging out talking to any dog that walked by. haha. After this we headed out to meet up with my sister's husband to pick up two more kiddos and decide what we were going to do with our day. We started it with a little garage sailing and after finding some great treasures, we headed back down to Old Mill for some lunch and a fun festival that took over the streets in The Old Mill District.

Thanks to the Energizer Bunny balloon Logan and Ryder both got to be "bunnies" for the morning.

At the festival they had an entire line that felt like it went on forever with all these huge blow up jumping things. The kids loved them. Ryder was a little scared at first but ended up having a blast.

We ended the day by playing in the River. Such a great way to let the kids play/relax in their own way, while my sister and I sat with our iced coffee watching them and recovering from our long long day

Averee didn't quite make it through the entire day. She tried her hardest but in the end sleep won.

what we do on a rainy day

Ryder is my little crafty boy. The other day when we made our day trip to Corvallis and we went in to my moms craft store and let him pick out some new crafts. He picked two Octopuses to make along with a few other things. With the way the weather has been this week this was the perfect way to pass the time.

Edwin

So proud of his creations.
(I have to say my son is pretty creative not only making fun things but coming up with names for them)

Even a Girly Girl likes a little dirt.

She may be my girly girl and likes her bling.. BUT.. She has discovered her "tom boy" side and is lovin the dirt! I leave the sliding glass door open during the day that way they can go in and out playing outside. Now every time she heads outside you know exactly where she is heading. It never fails she goes and sits right in the middle of the dirt and loves diggin her fingers and toes in it while tossing it all around her. This was her and JJ hangin in the cool dirt the other day. She was so happy he was there with her, it was like she thought he was there to play.
