Is the day over yet???

Can this day please, please just be over all ready! Last night was the night from hell! But in my kids defence it was my fault. The kids spent the day at their aunts house. If you don't know about her house it is a place that my children plus every other kid loves to go. She lives out on a farm, with horses, goats, dogs, cats, and chickens. Not to mention 4 kids to play with. Anyways they were out there playing all day yesterday why I went in to work for a couple appointments and to get my hair done. By the time I picked them up it was around 6:30 when we headed home. Now Ryder doesn't usually go to bed until around 9 and he does not take naps or he would be up all night. He fell asleep on the way home and was exhausted so I put him in bed not thinking to much about it, and thought he would be out for the night. I put Averee down around 8 and then I myself went to bed around 10. The clock struck midnight and I hear this little voice come in and say mommy, mommy I want some milk, I get up get the milk and I'm going to put him in to bed and he is wide awake and wants to watch transformers. Well thank god Santa brought some new transformer movies. I put one on and he was happy. Ryder did not go back to sleep until almost 4 o'clock!! I think I finally fell asleep about 4:15 and then 45 minutes later, I awoke to Averee wide awake and ready for the day..... So I was up at 5. This is how my day started and then we had to get out and about to run errands and go to Averee's 9 month check up. The morning was as chaotic as last night. We finally got out of the house and on our way things were great. And then.... We go to the doctor. Just a check up, no shots. Yeah!!! Right??? Wrong. Me being the mean mommy decided since I was there I better just get both kids their flu shots (yes I still hadn't got them one). Needless to say neither child was happy with me by the time we left. Now we are home Averee went down for a nap Ryder is running around with a Oreo cookie face (thanks to the dollar uncle Craig gave him) and I have a ton of cleaning and laundry to catch up on. UHGGGG. I really am ready for this day to be over, and a huge glass of wine!

Christmas Day.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to share some of our Christmas photos. We had such a nice relaxing Christmas. We stayed home with just our little family and had a fun day opening presents and playing all day. Our day started around 8:30am (so nice that Ryder still isn't old enough to catch on and wake up super early for this event), anyways my step dad got my mom a web cam this year for Christmas and surprised my sister and I with one also, so we set it all up and had a 3 way call going on and my mom got to see Ryder and Averee open all their presents Christmas morning! It was wonderful. With her not being able to make it over due to the weather, this totally made up for it! After opening presents we just hung around the house and played with all of our new toys. Very laid back and peaceful. Ryder opened one present and that was all he wanted. lol.. But then he caught on and ripped in to them all including Averee's. She was just in aww over it all trying to figure out what was going on. They both had so much fun and so did we, Justin and I ended the night with drinks and games after the kids went to bed. Check this Christmas off as a success. :) Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
The one and only present he so so badly wanted!

Oh my little Ry guy.

Ryder informed me this morning that he is so excited about Santa coming tomorrow, and in the same sentence that he wants to be Santa for Halloween next year. lol..... I love the way a 3 year old thinks!

Christmas spirit.

I don't know if the Christmas spirit has just taken over in people or they are just nice considerate people always? But with all the snow that has fallen and keeps falling, there has been this nice older gentlemen on his 4-wheeler daily clearing the sidewalks for us and now it's Christmas break and two young boys are going around doing driveways. They are so sweet not even asking for anything in return. Just doing it to help out. You don't find this to often anymore so I thought I would give them a shout out (haha). I just wanted to say I so appreciate it and I'm thinkin they are all going to get some yummy Christmas goodies for all they have done. :)

Let it snow, let it snow!

Our weather is so crazy right now! Yesterday we were supposed to get snow all day and last night. Did we get any??? NO!! During the afternoon yesterday, Ryder and I went out and shoveled all the snow from our drive way and walk ways, I was going to do our sidewalks, but this nice guy in the neighbor hood got on his 4-wheeler with a plow on the front and did the entire street. Anyways so this morning when we got up still no snow and all the places we had cleared yesterday including the road were bone dry and clear. It is now 9:30 and it started snowing about an hour ago. This is what we have now! Holy cow it has been snowing like mad
this morning!

(The swing set had no snow on it this morning at all!)

Meet Mr. Snowman...

The twinkle in his eye.

As we all grow up I think we forget the excitement and twinkle Santa brings to our lives. Last year Ryder didn't really get it, at all. I tried but still, he was only just turning 2 so you can't blame him, it's a lot to take in for a little guy. But this year! Completely different. He is so excited and asks everyday if Santa is coming tonight. We get all tucked in to bed and then the ? comes. The glow and curiosity that glazes over his little eyes and then he looks at me with so much excitement and asks " Santa coming tonight", then I tell him no not tonight but soon and we go over everything everybody wants for Christmas. He has now caught on to the whole "well maybe Santa will bring it for me" when he sees a toy he wants. They catch on so fast. It just takes me back to being little and there is nothing that compares to the joy and excitement of Santa! When we were little my step-dad used to jingle bells in the middle of the night and my sister and I swore it was Santa's reindeer landing on our roof! I can only hope that my kids get to grow up with half of the memories I did when it comes to Santa Clause. Hope you all have a magical Christmas!

Holiday weekend.

Where do I begin? What a wonderful weekend it has turned out to be. It started as a very disappointing one, but it really has been a great holiday, wintry weekend. My mom and family were supposed to come over this weekend and have our family Christmas. I was so so excited you wouldn't even believe it. haha.. I just wanted to spend some time with my mama. But do to the weather over the pass they couldn't come. Sad... I was pretty bummed. Not to mention having to tell Ry that his grandma isn't coming anymore. By Friday night it had started to snow, it was so pretty, and dreamy. Ryder and I sat and watched it fall out the window, we had the fire on and all the Christmas lights on in the dark. Love this time of year! By 8 o'clock Saturday morning Ryder was dressed and ready to play in the snow! I bundled him all up and him and JJ (the dog) were out running and having a blast. Later that day the fam went and did some Christmas shopping together after a couple stores Justin and I had our fill of all the people crowding down the isles so we came home and lounged around. I actually got some presents wrapped while the kids were sleeping! Justin hadn't seen everything I have got so far and was giving me "the eye" by the end. :) Whoops?? Today we started our day off by a nice walk in the snow. It was so nice, a little chilly but the kids love the snow and love being out in it no matter the temp. Justin left around 5 this morning to go hunting for the day. (No thank you!!! Way to cold out there for me.) We came home after our walk and I sipped on some hot coffee while the kids played. It's just been one of those wonderful peaceful weekends. I sit here now with one asleep, one watching a movie in his room and me out here with the fire going and Christmas music on (yup I'm one of those that loves the Christmas music!)

I hope you are all enjoying the snow! We sure are. It's like a blizzard outside!!

Dada....

Averee is starting to hit the "only wanting mommy" stage. Ryder hit it around now to, but Averee is extreme! I can't even walk in to the kitchen or go to the bathroom without her freaking out. Last night she was super fussy all day and I was trying to cook dinner, she was screaming cause she wanted daddy to bring her in to the kitchen to see me. Being the good daddy he is, he did, and then it happened!! DADA!! We both looked at each other and he got the biggest grin on his face and I said that sounded like she just said Dada?? And yet again in this sweet little voice looking at her daddy she said Dada. What is this!! She can't live without mom, yet she says DADA before MAMA!! lol... Needless to say she kept at it all night, so she does know what it means and what she is saying. Justin was so proud and was rubbing it in my face all night!! :) haha. She is his little princess and has been since the day she was born...

A little hint?

You all know I watch a little girl named Madison? She just turned 2 in September and is an only child being raised by a single dad. She is his BABY and "she still acts like one",anyways I only have her every other week and it works out wonderful. Ryder and her get along really well and all she wants to do is be a little mommy to Averee. When I was trying to potty train Ryder she wasn't here, that was one of the reasons I wanted to get it done, that way I could really focus on him and only him. Well the last couple of days I don't know if her daddy is trying to hint around that he wants me to start training her or what?? Yesterday she came over with underwear over her diaper??? Don't know what this was about? lol... And then today she has pull-ups in her diaper bag along with a huge stack of diapers. Now I don't have any problem if he wants me to work with her while she is here, but he hasn't said one word to me about it at all! I just don't want him to expect me to do it all, that is really what I mean to say. But I also get it that I have her 11 hours out of the day, I am going to be a huge part of her potty training. But I also think that because they have princesses on them if she wanted them he would get them for her. On the flip side of this, in my opinion she is not ready. Yes she sees, well hears Ryder do it now (I don't let her in the bathroom with him) but if I try and put her on the toilet she freaks out in about 5 sec. and she doesn't get it, that is where you go potty. Am I in the wrong here??? I know I have a few of you that have kids in daycare, what do you think????

So embarrassing.

So please tell me it's an all boy thing and just not my son? He is obsessed with lettin it rip anywhere and anytime! tutting, farting, fluffing, breaking wind, what ever you want to call it my son thinks it's the coolest thing ever right now! Yes it's pretty funny but on the other hand when we are in the store and he comes running towards me cracking up yelling he tutted, it's not as funny as embarrassing. His newest thing to do (that just started) is running up to you and backing up as close as he can get and rippin one on you... Yes this is my sweet little boy. I had no idea as he came running in to my bathroom cracking up and then he turns around and backs up to my leg and lets it go and then is almost on the floor laughing cause he thinks it's so funny. I'm really hoping this is just a phase that will pass soon?? Doubt it.... But I can hope right?? :)
